To our cousins, we are deeply saddened for the loss of your beloved mother.  We have many fond memories of her.  Her kindness and love for her family are qualities we strive to emulate. She was beautiful both on the inside and out.  She will be missed.

Thank you Zapata family for the great loving kindness you have shown towards ALL throughout the years.  Our deepest condolences to your family, Maria will be GREATLY missed. All I can remember from my childhood growing up is your family, and having you down the street whenever I needed you, I LOVED the San Antonio family trips when you took me along in the RED WAGON that Brother Zapata said was going to be the one that lasted till the END......love you all very much..thanks for the memories!

From the moment we took our first breath, you took care of us like only a mother could do, And as you took yours, we took care of you too.
You gave us more than we could've ever asked for, A precious gift who we will always adore.
You held us close since the day we were born; So we did the same for you, even though we were torn.
Because the time came too soon that we were forced to say goodbye; A painful reality we must accept, with every tear that we cry.
We stayed by your side until the very end; Although our hearts ached for you, we are now comforted to know you will never suffer again.
We were there for you because we know you would've done the same for us; Your unconditional love was one we could always trust.

Growing up, I always had Sister Zapata as my second mother. She will be dearly missed. I thank you all for letting me feel part of the family and I know we will see her again. Love you guys, Silvana Denise Basaldu.

To all our brothers and sisters and friends:
Thank you so much for the support and prayers for Marias recovery.It was sixty days that we tried to see when we could come home with her.For her it was 60 days and 60 nights.
