

Mary Olga Cavazos, age 72, beloved mother, sister and aunt was called to be with her Lord and Savior on April 15, 2012, surrounded by her family. Olga was born on August 24, 1939 in Edcouch Elsa, Texas to Esteban and Aurora Cavazos. She was the eldest of three children and was the true matriarch of the family. She retired from the Juvenile Detention Center after 25 years as a detention officer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Esteban and Aurora Cavazos.
Olga leaves behind her loving family to remember and cherish her memory; sister, Gloria Feliz and her baby brother Jesse (Terry) Cavazos; daughter, Jennifer Bermudez; nephews, Steve (Becky) Cavazos, Jerry (Laura) Felix; nieces, Marissa (Gilbert) Ramirez, Jessica Cavazos, and Jaclyn Moraida. Also surviving are several great nieces and nephews and one very special great-great nephew, Troy Boy that held an important place in his “Tia’s” heart!
Olga was very active in her church Primera Iglesia Bautista, where she served as church secretary for eight years. She devoted her time in the church kitchen and was a member of the DORCA’S Women’s church group. Olga loved sports and loved her Dallas Cowboys! She will be greatly missed and loved by all those left behind, but through her faith in Christ we know we will all once again be reunited. We love you Tia!
Viewing will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Primera Iglesia Bautista on 1509 Tarlton in Corpus Christi, Texas on Tuesday, April 17, 2012.
Graveside services will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.
