Mary Olga Escamilla

Mary Olga Escamilla, 70, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, and friend went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 20, 2015. She was born in San Benito, TX on August 11, 1944 to Isaias Montez, Sr. and Maria Louisa Montez. Mary graduated from Roy Miller High School in 1964. She worked and retired from Water Street Oyster Bar, Inc. after more than 20 years of service. She enjoyed dining out with her husband and family and adored spending time with her grandchildren. Although she will no longer be present with us, her spirit and memories will live with us forever. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Carlos Montez, Sr. and Miguel “Mike” Montez.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Eduardo Escamilla, children; Alberto (Melissa) Escamilla, Alfredo (Amber) Escamilla, and Sonia (Mark) Hernandez.

Grandchildren; Christian Escamilla, Ian Escamilla, Vincent Escamilla, Nicole Escamilla, Markuz Hernandez, Tristan Escamilla, Kevyn Lara, and Jasmine Lara.

Sisters; Minerva (Harry) Sanchez, Rosalinda (Guadalupe) Rodriguez, Brother; Isaias (Lala) Montez, Jr., and numerous nephews and nieces.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and therapists of CHRISTUS Spohn Shoreline Hospital Rehab for their care and compassion towards our mother.

Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. on March 2, 2015 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. A memorial service will continue at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home.

Interment to follow at the Coastal Bend State Veteran’s Cemetery.
