Mary was born on September 25, 1940, to Luis and Josephina Lopez in Houston, Texas. Mary then went on to graduate high school where she met the love of her life, Jesse Ramos. The two were married on June 5, 1959, in Houston, Texas. They traveled the country while raising their children before settling down in Corpus Christi, Texas. Mary enjoyed reading books, praying, collecting antiques and dolls, taking photographs of wildlife, being a jokester who often would finish jokes before hitting the punchline, watching animated movies, dancing and spending time with her family and friends. She was an avid member of the Driscoll Community Church.

The family would like to extend appreciation to Anointed Hospice especially Mary’s nurses Georgette and Raquell and her nurse’s aide, Evelynn, for the care and compassion they provided to our beloved mother.
Don’t think of her as gone away, her journey has just begun. Life holds so many facets; this earth is only one. Just think of her as resting from the sorrows and the tears in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days or years. Think how she must be wishing that we could know today how nothing, but our sadness can really pass away and think of her as living in the hearts of those she touched for nothing is ever lost and she was loved so much. -Author Unknown
