Maureen Fradley Romero

Maureen F. Romero, 88, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away peacefully in her home on September 6, 2023, with family at her side. Maureen was born on January 29, 1935 in Peterborough, England. She met her husband, Edward G. Romero, while he was stationed at the Royal Air Force Base near Molesworth, Cambridgeshire, England. They were married on June 15, 1957 and enjoyed 66 wonderful years of marriage. Maureen’s interests included knitting, coloring intricate designs, and spending time with her family. She was a devoted wife and selfless and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is preceded in death by parents, Frederick and Maud Fradley; and siblings, Frederick Jr., Trevor, Thelma, and Terrance Fradley.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Edward G. Romero; children, Edward Romero Jr. (Sylvia), Belinda Hernandez (Mario), Diana Castillo (Thomas), and Mark Romero (Michelle); grandchildren, Mario Jr. (Samantha), Anthony, Ryan (Alexandra), Aaron (Erin), Granet (Erin), Andrew, Morgan, Coral, and Stone; great-grandchildren, Roman, Addison, Jeremy, Jane, and Nathaniel; and numerous nieces and nephews in England.

Visitation will begin at 4:00 pm with a service at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Services will conclude in the chapel.
