It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Moises Pacheco, a devoted father, cherished husband, loving grandfather and loyal friend, on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the age of 85.
Moises was born to Majin Pacheco and Julia Alvarado on April 11th, 1940, in Rio Verde, San Luis Potosi, Mexico. He attended the seminary in Poza Rica, Vera Cruz, Mexico. Moises married Petra Rodriguez on January 9th, 1968.
Moises lived a life defined by kindness, integrity, and unwavering dedication to his family. He believed that love was best shown through actions—whether it was working tirelessly to provide, offering wise counsel during life’s storms, or simply being present for every milestone, big or small.
Moises found his greatest joy as the patriarch of his family. He was the steady hand that guided, the patient teacher who encouraged, and the gentle heart that always believed in his children’s and grandchildren’s dreams. His laughter filled our home, his wisdom shaped our lives, and his love will forever be our foundation.
He is survived by his wife, Petra, his daughters Priscilla Garza (Jaime) and Alma Garcia (Keith), and his two grandchildren, Jordan Garza (Rachel) and Jalen Garza, who will carry forward his legacy of compassion, humility, and strength. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and countless nieces and nephews.
Moises is preceded in death by his parents Majin Pacheco and Julia Alvarado, his brothers Ismael and Daniel Perez, and his sister Ester Vargas.
Moises was a Presbyterian minister for many years in Corpus Christi, Kingsville, Taft, and Robstown. He worked for Memorial Medical Center for 27 years and Corpus Christi Allergy and Asthma Clinic until his retirement in 2011. He was an avid fisherman, gardener, and woodworker. Moises loved watching sports – Houston Astros, San Antonio Spurs, Dallas Cowboys, and Houston Texans. He never met an animal he didn’t love or that didn’t love him. He enjoyed spending time with his dogs and chickens and the neighborhood animals.
A celebration of Moises’s life will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, located at 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Tx 78415 on Saturday, November 29th, 2025. Visitation begins at 11:00am with the service beginning at 12:30pm.
Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing that his love remains with us—quietly, steadfastly, and eternally. “Amor con amor se paga.” He gave his love to all who entered his life and now he is receiving eternal love..
