Natividad Ornelas

Arrangements under the direction of Memory Gardens Funeral Home, Corpus Christi, TX.Natividad Ornelas, 74 years old of Corpus Christi, Texas went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 surrounded by her loving children and families.

She was born on August 7, 1937 to her parents Francisco and Maria Gonzales.

She was a loving mother and housewife who loved to cook for her family or any occasion. She was a member of the Guadalupanas at Our Lady of Mount Carmel and always helping out at church.

Natividad is preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Ornelas Sr., her parents, two sisters, Lydia Rivas and Antonia Flores and three brothers, Tino, Arturo and Emilio Gonzales.

She leaves behind her daughter, Marta (John) Garcia and two sons, Jesse Jr. (Thelma) and Juan (Hilda) Ornelas; five grandchildren, Jacob (Kim), Sarah, Jynelle, Ashley, Gene (Norma); five great grandchildren, Robert Wayne Parks, Isabella Mia Manon, Robert, Nikki and Nathaniel Villarreal; six sisters, Florence Ramos, Carlotta Rodriguez, Julia Hernandez, Estella Nicolas, Tomasa Martinez and Patricia Calhoun; four brothers, Frank Jr., Benny, Eddie and Lupe Gonzales.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.

Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 27, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church (Clarkwood area) with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be John, Jacob, Gene, Robert, Frank Jr. and Eddie.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Mount Carmel for masses.
