

She was preceded in death by her parents B. R. & Olivia Galvan. Those left behind to cherish her memories are her husband, Manuel Franco, daughters; Yvonne (Gabe) Garcia of Corpus Christi, Texas and Yvette (Luis) Garcia of Portland, Texas, grandsons: Noah, James, Seth, Micah, two brothers: Luis (Janie) Galvan, Juan Galvan, sister: Lupe (rolando) Chapa of Kingsville, Texas.
Olga was a graduate of Agua Dulce high school in Agua Dulce, Texas. Following graduation, she was crowned queen of the GI forum in Alice, Texas.
In 1964, she went on a blind date and met the love of her life, Manuel, and were happily married for 61 years.
She loved her work in the medical field. She worked as a night nurse in the OB department in Alice, TX at the P & S Hospital. Later she worked at Christus Spohn shoreline in the heart cath lab.
Olga had a love for reading books and enjoyed teaching the children in her church’s Sunday School Department. She served as a Deacons’ wife and Sunday school director for many years. She also looked forward to traveling on Missionary trips with the church to Mexico.
Olga was proud of her family. She encouraged and applauded them in both academic and sports-related activities.
Olga was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She demonstrated courage, strength and faithfulness amid her battle with cancer. We have been blessed to love her and be loved by her. We celebrate that she is now in the presence of her savior Jesus Christ and look forward to meeting her again in heaven.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Everhart, located at 4901 Everhart Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78411.
Due to Construction on McCardle, all side parking lot entrances are block and only entrance is on Everhart Road
