Oris Sylvana Rodriguez, 69, of Corpus Christi, TX, passed away on December 1, 2021. She was born in Corpus Christi on November 23, 1952 and graduated from West Oso High School. She was married to Jorge G. Rodriguez on November 13, 1968. Oris had a career in processing for TRW Electronics, where she worked for 33 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Pilar Catholic Church, and had a passion for making tamales, and gambling in Las Vegas. She was also a BIG Dallas cowboys fan and loved watching her children engage in sports. She also loved her Pokeeno nights.
Oris is preceded in death by her parents; Melquiadez and Orisme Pena; brother; Mike Pena.
She is survived by her loving husband; Jorge G. Rodriguez; children; Norma (John) Del Los Santos, George (Bridget) Rodriguez, and Jason (Desiree) Rodriguez; sisters;Angiolina (Eddie) Guzman, Yvonne (Carlos) Nino; mother-in-law; Josefina M. Rodriguez; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday December 14, 2021 at 4:30pm at Memory Gardens Funeral Home with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00pm. A funeral mass will take place Wednesday December 15, 2021 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Pilar Catholic Church, with a graveside service to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
