Patrick Baker Brower, 79, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away February 6, 2014. Pat was born in Willard, Missouri and graduated from Drury College in Springfield, Missouri; it was there that he met the love of his life, his wife of 55 years, Julie. Patrick was a Korean War veteran who proudly served in the United States Army. Continuing life’s journey, he began a successful sales career for Nalco Chemical Company. The oil patch provided Pat with many opportunities; the most coveted being a stage on which to hone his practical jokes and funny stories to anyone who was fortunate enough to cross his path. He appreciated a fine cigar, a perfectly barbequed pork rib, and most importantly, the company of family and many dear friends. He and his wife were active in several clubs. Pat is a founding member of the esteemed ROMEOS (Retired Old Men Eating Out) where a sense of humor and friendship were always the specials of the day. Texas has truly lost a fine gentleman; he will be greatly missed, but not forgotten.
He is survived by his wife, Julie Ann Liles Brower; his children, Suzanne Brower Laufer (Douglas), Timothy Brower (Vanessa); his grand darlings, Merrill, Laura, Elizabeth, Eva; and, his sister in law, Henrietta Brower.
He is preceded in death by his son, Robert Kevin Brower; his brother, Robert Brower; and, his parents, Benjamin and Sybil Brower.
A celebration of his life will be held at Cage-Mills Funeral home on February 11 at 2:00PM. Honorary pallbearers are: Marvin Borchart, Bill Cheesman, Ralph Cobb, John Gray, James (Buster) Kirkland, Erm Muller, Rodger Schroeder, and Frank Tvrdik. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Salvation Army or the charity of your choice.
Arrangements under the direction of Cage-Mills Funeral Directors, Corpus Christi, TX.
