Pedro P. Contreras

He was born in Edinburg, TX on May 8. 1952 to Luis and Julia Contreras. He was married to Mary Y. Contreras on October 8, 1982.

Pedro was a dedicated employee of the City of Corpus Christi street department and retired after 30 years. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Church in Corpus Christi and had a passion for fishing, playing his guitar, and building things for his family.

He was preceded in death by parents Luis and Julia Contreras, brother Thomas Solis, and sisters Erlinda Hinojosa and Angelica Garza.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Y. Contreras, sons, Pedro (Clarissa) Contreras Jr., and Julian (Corina) Contreras. Grandchildren, Amarisa and Amaius Contreras. Siblings, Margarito Solis, Luis Contreras, and Juan Manuel Contreras. Pedro will also be forever remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Friday, August 21, 2020 at 1:00 PM. Holy Rosary will be recited at 1:30 PM with funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM. Interment will be private.
