

Phil was born November 7, 1948, in Bethany, Oklahoma, to Darrell Dale Durbin and Guyon Bevington Yarbrough Durbin.
He is survived by his brother, Darrell Dale Durbin (Linda); his children, Trenton Michael Durbin, Chance McAl Durbin (Tarah), and Amanda Joy Durbin (Travis); his former wife, Cindy Neal Durbin; and his cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Grandchildren: Tyler Durheim, Chelsea Castaneda (Ryan), Levi Esensee, Bailey Wandel (Jack), Emma Durbin, Mikayla Durbin, Ava Durbin, Dylan Durbin, Adalynn Reneau, Harlan Reneau, and Lucas Reneau.
Great-Grandchildren: Callie Durheim, Gavin Durheim, and three beloved Castaneda great-grandchildren.
Phil was preceded in death by his parents.
A proud Corporal in the United States Marine Corps, Phil served his country honorably in Vietnam. Following his military service, he devoted his life to the automotive industry—building a distinguished career that spanned wholesale operations, sales, and trusted leadership in general management. Known for his integrity, work ethic, and genuine connection to people, he earned the admiration of colleagues and the enduring loyalty of customers throughout his decades in the car business.
A burial service with full military honors will be held on Monday December 15th, 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, with Dr. Brian Hill officiating.
Phil’s family extends heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate teams at Brookdale Trinity Towers, Cornerstone Caregiving, and Concho Hearts Hospice for the exceptional love, dignity, and care shown to him during his final chapter.
Phil will be remembered as a devoted father, grandfather, veteran, and friend—whose legacy will continue in the family he loved.
