Preston R Bishop

Preston R. Bishop, 77, passed away on November 19, 2010. He will be remembered for his love for his wife of fifty four years as well as his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His sense of humor, love of life and ready smile were always there to welcome all of us who loved him. He loved to tend to his garden, tinker with his tools and travel with his wonderful wife and partner, Wana. He served twenty years as a flight engineer in the United States Air Force, retiring in 1973, then moving the family to Corpus Christi, Texas.

Preston was born in London, Texas, July 8, 1933 and married Wana Fay Adams, January 4, 1957.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Wana Bishop; son, Preston Bishop, Jr. (Loren); daughter, Sue Fryer (Ricky); son, Paul Bishop (Laura); and son, Perry Bishop (Wendy). He was also blessed with twelve grandchildren, Preston III, Cory (Brooke), Ryan, Kayla, Paige, Jake, Sam, David, Chase, Cheyne, Krista, Hunter (Cayla) and three great grandchildren, Camryn, Laney and Caiden.

Public visitation will be on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with a Memorial Service to commence at 2:00 p.m. with Chaplain Don Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
