Raymond S. Castillo

Raymond S. Castillo, 66, of Corpus Christi, TX passed away on January 9, 2017. He was born in Lamesa, TX on August 28, 1950. He enlisted in the Army at the age of 18. He served in Vietnam and had a long and rewarding career as a mess sergeant. He retired after 20 years and settled down in Corpus Christi with his growing family. He was married to Anna Castillo on December 23, 1967. They were married happily for 49 years. He had a passion for the Dallas Cowboys and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Simon and Blanche Castillo, and 1 brother, Roy Castillo.

He is survived by wife, Anna Castillo; 3 sons, Raymond (Melissa) Castillo Jr., Richard (Esther) Castillo, Simon (Jessica) Castillo; 2 daughters, Lisa (Rosario) Castillo, Laura Castillo; 11 grandchildren, Ryan, Hunter, Ashley, Taelor, Alexis, Alicia, April, Ariel, Nathan, Averi, Adrian; 1 great grandson, Braxton; 2 sisters, Eva (Ralph) Velasquez, Mary Jane Castillo; 2 brothers, Robert & Rudy Castillo, plus close in-laws, the Velasquez family, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be his sons and grandsons.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 15, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel-Memorial Holly with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. that same evening.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, January 16, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church with interment following at Rosehill Memorial Park.
