

Roel embodied a gentle strength, profound love for his family, and a heart full of kindness. His sense of humor inspired joy in everyone he met.
Roel was a devoted oilfield machinist for 37 years, driven by his passion for his work. Roel met the love of his life, Rose Marie (Rosie), while attending West Oso High School, and they shared 45 incredible years of marriage. Roel was the proud father of twins, Roel (Roy) Jr. and Angelina (Angel). He shared his love for the outdoors with his family, teaching them the value of camping, fishing, and hunting. His green thumb brought beauty to his yard and community.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Irene Figueroa; brother, Mando Figueroa; sister, Diana Vargas; and son, Roel (Roy) Figueroa Jr.
He is survived by his devoted wife Rosie; daughter, Angel; and his treasured grandsons, Jaydon, Jacob, and Silverio; sisters, Nelda and Rosa (Amador); sister-in-law, Brenda (Mando); and several nieces, nephews, and cousins who cherished him.
Public visitation will be held at Memory Garden Funeral Home on Monday, June 16, 2025 at 5pm, with a rosary service at 7pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. Visitation will resume at 8:30 am, followed by a funeral procession at 9:30am to Our Lady of Pilar Catholic Church for a Funeral Mass, and burial to follow at Memory Garden Funeral Home.
