My deepest condolences to the Rodriguez family.   Roel is a good friend and I'll never forget the championship year we shared in 1984 playing baseball at Carroll HS.  Although years pass and we go our separate ways our friendship always last.   RIP my friend.

On behalf of Rick and Sylvia, we want to send our condolences to the family. It was hard to hear that we had lost Roel at such a young age. We remember him as one Of the H‑E‑B Warehouse Crew — the guys who bonded at work, and after work.  They went fishing and drank beers, and always had stories to tell w those beers. We will always remember Roel as this tall, striking figure of a man.  He was quiet, but he could also make his point known when necessary.  
Roel will be missed; however, he left his legacy:  his memories and love lives on with all his children, and grandchildren.  Praying for your peace & comfort during this difficult time. 

Our lives don’t last forever but the memories we make together last . So I’m glad to have memories with Roel. I’m going to hold on to those forever. .. Thank you for those. 

Roel was always a kind man.  My sister and I would spend a lot of time at the Rodriguez house and there was always room for us in their big family. He would always make sure everyone was taken care of. He will be very missed.  RIP Roel.

We met Roel when our kids were in Cub Scouts together about 7 years ago. He was always willing to help when it came down to anything the boys needed, including late nights frying turkeys for our Cub Scout Thanksgiving dinner.  I just want all his kids to know that he was SO PROUD of you.  Anytime we ran into him, no matter how long it had been, he would fill us with the details of your lives and he always did it with such pride.  I remember the excitement in his voice when he knew he was going to be a grandpa.  It's true that he was one of the easiest people to talk to.  Conversations around Roel were always a delight.  He always made people feel comfortable and welcome. He will be dearly missed.


My Brother Roel was a type of person you would want at your party or bbq get-together.  He was easy to talk to, wonderful listener, great sense of humor, and overall just gave off positive vibes. I don't have too many people that would text or call me, just to see how I was doing; my brother did that often and I will miss that dearly. He was like a father figure in my life and helped me with so many things. He was a very talented individual. He basically was our family's car mechanic, baseball coach, fisherman, mentor, carpenter, cook, and just a positive role model for all of us growing up. The best quality he had however, was the unconditional love he had for his children. This man would do anything for his kids to keep them happy. I hope to become half the father he was. It is still unreal that he is gone, but what keeps me sane is the fact that he is up above with our Mom and Dad, looking down on us to protect and guide us. Till we meet again Brother, I love and miss you so much. 

I’ve known the Rodriguez family for about 11 years now. Roel was a great man and father I was just a teenager when I met him and he never treated me any different than he did his kids. I’m going to miss him and the all stories he’d tell me we had some good laughs. 

May he Rest In Peace. 

I’m going to miss you brother.  Not seeing you and saying goodbye to you before you left us is the hardest part of letting go.  I wish I Could turn back time so I could see you one last time And tell you how much I loved you  and how blessed I was to have you as my brother.    you will always have a special place in my heart ❤️.  May you Rest In Peace brother

A good friend I worked with at HEB warehouse.
Had the privalidge of working with him and a great bunch of guys that I will always consider friends for life we had a tight knit of friends you won’t find any where it’s just unbelievable the comoradatity  we all had. The  list of close friends is just to long  to mention even still to this day 36yrs plus years later our friendships still Remain like if it was yesterday.
A lot of memories on and off the job, well never be fogotten .Roel was one that stood out!

I"ll miss seeing you wave across the street and you stopping your car in the middle of the street to chat.  I"ll miss you coming by to see how I was doing.  You're such a great man and a great father. 

I have known Goris & her family for almost 25 yrs.  I remember when Goris told me she had a boyfriend named, Roel.  It wasn't long after I had the pleasure of meeting him.  Wonderful person! May Roel rest in peace & May God Bless  Goris, the kids & baby Aubrey.  🙏💞🙏

Roel was such a good man, a perfect son and brother plus a great husband and rock to my sister, Goris and an awesome father to their kids: Rozy, Rayanne, Brenda, David, Adam and Hardis....plus a super awesome grandpa to little miss Aubrey. He always stood by his family through the good and the bad, thru thick and thin, no matter what!! He will be greatly missed by many!! I pray that God blesses his family and keeps a hedge of protection around all of them!! Love you, Roel and may you rest in peace brother-in-law. Love you always!!!
