Roland Adam Gaona of Corpus Christi passed away on October 9, 2018 at the age of 57. He was born on January 27, 1961 to the late Rodolfo Roque and Ofelia Gaona. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He graduated from Mary Carrol High School and went on to receive a business and culinary art degree from Del Mar College. Roland had a devoted career in restaurant management, music management, public service, community activism and real estate. He was most recently employed with Keller Williams Realty.
Roland was a proud member of LULAC, The Beach Access Coalition-BAC, Planned Parenthood, LGBT Rights Advocacy and The Board of Realtors.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Robert Lee "Bobby" Gaona.
He leaves his loving memories to his siblings, Rodolfo Gaona Jr. (Irma), Elizabeth G. Rivera (Adam), Cynthia G. Barrera (J.J.); nieces, Jasmin J. Rivera-Portillo (Ariel), Gabriela A. Barrera; his beloved dog, Jojo; and numerous beloved cousins, friends and associates.
Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Sunday, October 14, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
Funeral Service will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Monday, October 15, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
