Ron was born in Paris to Wille Joe and Miram Richardson on March 6, 1947. He graduated from Ray High School. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Texas A&I University, and his Masters Degrees in Education, and Administration from Corpus Christi University. He worked as a Teacher and Coach for 49 years and became a member of the Flour Bluff Athletic Hall of Fame. He enjoyed teaching young people the joy of competition and learning, helping people reach their full potential, and spending time with his family.
Ron is survived by his wife Peggy Richardson of Corpus Christi; brother Rickey Richardson and his wife Melanie; son Ronnie Richardson Jr. and his wife Lee Ann; son James L. Richardson and his wife Misty; daughter Caryl Carlisle and her husband Jay; three grandchildren Charlotte Richardson, Cameron Carlisle, and Quinlyn Carlisle. He is also survived by loving in-laws, a niece, nephews, great-nephews, cousins and a host of long-time friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Joe and Miram Richardson.
Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home in Corpus Christi on Monday, November 19, 2018 from 5:00 to 9:00 pm.
Funeral service will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home in Corpus Christi on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 2:00 pm. Entombment will follow at Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
