Ruby D. Smith

She married Garnett Ray Smith on December 26, 1954. Ruby loved her family and friends; especially, her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Garnett Smith; daughters, Joyce Pendergraft and Lori Smith and her son, Franklin Smith; grandsons, Rusty and Ryan; father, Marion Hughes; mother, Addie Bell Hughes; brothers, William Hughes, Frances Hughes, Bert Hughes and Wayne Hughes; sisters, Jessie Standley, Jean Miller, Melba Hughes and Anna May Wuick.

Ruby is survived by her brother, Gary Hughes; sons, Randall Smith (Marsha) and Russell Smith (Jackie); 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas starting at 12:30 PM on Monday, November 22, 2021 with funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM. Burial will be held at Memorial Gardens Cemetery following service.
