Santos Gomez Porras

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas and Aurora Gomez; her beloved son, Rafael Porras; and her brothers, Nieves Valdez, Alfredo Valdez, Augustine Gomez, Nicholas Gomez, Gilberto S. Gomez, and Juan Gomez.

Santos is survived by her daughters, Sandra (Danny) Esquivel and Irene (Natividad) Porras; her grandchildren, DD (Lisa) Lopez, Blake (Vanessa) Porras, Vanessa Bacca, Juan (Priscilla) Uvalle, Robert J. Cabello, Cassandra De Leon, Brianna (Josh) Segovia, and Nickolas Uvalle; and numerous great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

A very proud retired cafeteria worker at West Oso, Sandy took great joy in serving others throughout her career. She found happiness in baking for the people she loved, playing lotería and football squares, and loving her dogs with her whole heart. Santos will be remembered for her love, humor, strength, and the pride she carried in all that she did.

Family and friends are invited to attend services. A Memorial Mass will take place on February 19, 2026 at 10:00am at Holy Family Catholic Church. An inurnment will then take place on February 19, 2026 at 11:30am at Rosehill Memorial Park, located at 2731 Comanche St., Corpus Christi, Texas, 78408.
