Santos F. Salinas Sr.

Santos F. Salinas Sr., 81, passed away on October 27, 2017. He was born on November 1, 1935 to Luis and Josefa Salinas in La Rosita, Texas. Santos was married to Maria Asucena for 59 years on April 6, 1958. He was a truck driver and enjoyed spending time with his family and bbq’ing. He and his wife welcomed any and every one into their home. He knew no strangers. Santos is preceded in death by his parents, Luis and Josefa Salinas and his sister, Yolanda Casas. He is survived by his loving wife, Maria Asucena; children, Dagoberto, Daniel, Santos Jr. (Enedelia) Salinas, Nora Ramirez (Nicolas) and Maria Christina Salinas; 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; sister, Elva Ramirez and brother, Higinio Salinas. The family would like to thank the 8th Floor of Spohn Shoreline, Dr. Albarracin and staff and Angel Bright Hospice. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Pallbearers will be Nathaniel Salinas, Marcos Ramirez, Isaac Ramirez, Justin Ramirez, Glenn Wilkinson and Trey Koepsel. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel – Memorial Holly with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Funeraria Del Angel – Memorial Holly. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
