Saul Leonard Marshall, 64, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on July 16, 2025. Born and raised in Corpus Christi, Saul was the son of Robert Allen Marshall and Consuelo Garcia Marshall and was born on October 1, 1960.
A hardworking man, Saul built a career as a traveling diesel mechanic — a job that suited his hands-on skills, love for the open road, and strong work ethic. On November 26th, 1994, in his beloved hometown, he married the love of his life, Marie Marshall. Together, they shared years filled with adventure, laughter, and beach drives with the windows down and music up.
Saul was a man who appreciated the simple joys in life. He loved fishing, hunting, and kicking back with an ice-cold beer and some BBQ. His soundtrack of choice spanned country classics and rock anthems — Hank Williams, Foreigner, and The Eagles were always playing somewhere close by. He never went anywhere without one of his baseball caps and always made sure he didn’t forget it on the way out.
Above all, Saul loved his family deeply. Whether it was a big gathering or a quiet evening outside, he cherished every moment with the people he loved most.
He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and a few well-timed curse words. His family will forever miss his humor, his honesty, and the unmistakable sound of his voice calling things exactly as he saw them.
Saul is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Consuelo Marshall.
Left to cherish his memory is his son, Saul L. Marshall, Jr. (Tracy); daughters, Christie L. Marshall and Carrie I. Cruz, Stefanie L. Cruz (Ernest Estrella) and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. He also leaves behind his siblings, Sandra Zermeno, Roberta Marshall, Robert A. Marshall, Jr., Marsha Smith (Randall Smith) and Constance “Connie” Marshall.
A visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Friday, July 25, 2025 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.
