
Sharon Ann Baumle Rankin, 73, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2012 surrounded by her family. She loved butterflies, angels, crocheting, and especially making homemade goodies for family, friends, and co-workers.
Sharon was born February 12, 1939 in Detroit, Michigan to Glen L. and Marge Fennell Baumle. On January 8, 1965, she married Foy Mac Rankin; they shared almost thirty five loving years together before his death in 1999.
Sharon worked for many years as a waitress, hostess, and cashier at Nolan’s on Weber. She ended her work career at Liquid Town for nearly twenty years, she was manger, mentor, “momma”, and self- appointed boss.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and half-sister, Glenda L. Johnson.
She is survived by her adopted son, Christopher J. Rusch (Dawn), and his children of Ottumwa, Iowa; adopted daughter, Susana K. Rankin, of Corpus Christi; half-brother, Earl Victor Baumle (Jennifer) of Apopka, Florida; and her special cousins she considered her siblings; Mary Jane Falwell (Jim) of Corpus Christi; Victor E. Baumle II (Shirley) of Corpus Christi; and Pamela J. Jones (Chuck) of Buda, Texas.A Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to PeeWee’s Animal Sanctuary, The Lighthouse for the Blind, or a charity of your choice.The family wishes to thank the offices of Dr. Michael Nash, Dr. Gerald Voohees, and Dr. Timothy VanFrank for their outstanding care during Sharon’s illness and the nurses and staff of Nurses on Wheels for making Sharon’s last days comfortable. The family would also like to give a very special thank you to Eddie Buhidar and the employees of Liquid Town for the love and joy they have given Sharon in the last twenty years.
