Trinidad worked hard her whole life starting from during the Great Depression in the 1930’s. Her last job was as a Nurse’s Aid in the Nursery Ward which she loved. She was a lifelong faithful Baptist and was a charter and founding member of Primera Iglesia Bautista in Alice, Texas and Segunda Iglesia Bautista in Corpus Christi, Texas. Trinidad was active in the choir and missionary work, especially in Mexico, the quilting club, the Union de Señoras and prayer groups. La Hermana Trine always was a strong believer in education and loved reading. She encouraged her children and grandchildren. The achievements of her off-spring are a legacy to that. Trinidad’s other passions were her flowers and fruit trees and her baking skills. She made the best pan de polvo and tamales around!
