

He was born in Corpus Christi TX on February 14, 1932 to Julio Garcia Sr. and Lucia R. Garcia. In his teenage years he was a Boxer till he entered the U.S. Army to serve our country in 1952 till 1955. He fought in the Korean War, after serving his time in the Army he worked at Mclaine Paint & Body Shop for 39 years. Between those years he served in the Army Reserve till 1992 completing 20 years he also served as a Constable for Precint 1 from 1995 to 2006 through those years he worked as security in private events like Eagle Lodge and the American Legion party.
He goes home to the Lord to reunite with his parents, Lucia and Julio Garcia, Sr.; one sister, Esther Garcia; two brothers, Julio Jr. and Rogelio Garcia.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife, Maria Rosa Garcia; his daughters, Rosa Lucia Garcia, Janie (Bobby) Saenz, Estella Felix; his sons, Richard Ybanez, Rudy Gonzalez and Renalie (Jeannie) Prodigalidad.
He was also blessed with 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
He will be greatly missed by all his family.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Funeraria Del Angel-549 Cheyenne with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Holy Family Catholic Church with a burial to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
