Victoria Arredondo, 93, of Gregory, Texas, entered into eternal rest on December 4, 2025. She was born on January 12, 1932, in Gregory, Texas, and later married, Luis M. Arredondo. Victoria was a lifelong housewife whose greatest joy was caring for her home and family.
A devoted member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Gregory, she lived her faith through service. She enjoyed working in her garden, fishing with her husband and family, and volunteering her time to help at the church. She also loved quilting and found joy in the simple, meaningful rhythms of daily life.
Victoria was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. For a woman of very little financial means, she was rich in spirit resourceful, determined, and always willing to help others. Nothing was ever too hard for her; she always found a way to make things work. She never met a stranger and welcomed everyone with warmth and kindness. The world truly needs more humble souls like her.
Having lost her mother at the age of 10, Victoria deeply cherished the love and stability given to her by the aunt and uncle who raised both her and her brother. She thanked God often for them and carried the lessons of their love throughout her life.
Victoria was a wonderful cook, always ready to listen to her family’s concerns, and she had a deep love for prayer and loved to pray her rosary daily. She especially loved being surrounded by her children, grandchildren, relatives, and friends. Saying goodbye is difficult, but her family takes comfort in knowing she is now in Heaven. They ask her to continue praying for them until they meet again.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Luis Arredondo; her mother, Augustina Menchaca; her father, Pablo Menchaca; her son Robert Arredondo; her brother, Manuel Menchaca.
She is survived by her children: Irma (Abel) Adame, Joe Arredondo, Norma Perez, Oscar (Yolanda) Arredondo, and her grand dog Oreo who would always look forward visiting and enjoying his grandma and all of the residents at Windsor Nursing home, as well as her brother Adolfo Menchaca, and numerous cherished grandchildren who loved her dearly.
The family would like to extend a special thank-you to Windsor Nursing Home on Fig Street in Corpus Christi, as well as the nurses and aides who cared for her with compassion. They also thank all of Victoria’s previous providers, and they are especially grateful to Cookie, her roommate, for the kindness and companionship she shared.
Victoria’s gentle spirit, strong faith, and boundless love will remain in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
A visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel, located at 549 Cheyenne, Corpus Christi, TX 78405, on December 18, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm. A prayer service will take place at the same venue on December 18, 2025, from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
