Victoria Villagran, 97, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 12, 1925, to the late Pedro and Guadalupe Cavazos in Arneckeville, Texas. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters.
She was a longtime employee of Memorial Hospital. As dedicated foster parents she and her husband enjoyed caring for many young children through the years. Mrs. Villagran was a devoted member of Holy Family Catholic Church as well as a Guadalupana.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family.
Mrs. Villagran was preceded in death by her husband, Urbano Villagran, Sr. She is survived by her five daughters, Guadalupe Tomasa (Tommie) Nunez, Eva (Raul) Acuna, Margaret (Margie) Garcia, all of Corpus Christi, Texas, Angelita (Angie) Gonzalez of Harker Heights, Texas and Beatrice Sinaon of California; two sons, Urbano (Denise) Villagran, Jr. of Corpus Christi and Phillip (Linda) Villagran of Cleburne, Texas. She leaves 14 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The Family will be receiving family and friends from 5 pm to 9 pm on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Funeraria del Angel Memorial Holly, 3442 Holly Road, Corpus Christi, Texas with a Vigil Service and Rosary recited at 7 pm that evening. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, July 1, 2022, at 10 am, at Holy Family Catholic Church 2509 Nogales, Corpus Christi, Texas. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be, Steve Acuna, Joe Nunez, Jr., Julio A. Garcia, Abel Gonzalez, Matt Sanchez, and Phillip Villagran, Jr.
