Dr. William R. Hartgraves PhD, age 88, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017. He was married to Jeanette Mills Hartgraves (deceased) for fifty-six years. Dr. Hartgraves graduated from McMurry University and received his PhD from the University of Texas. He was a career educator working with Sundeen I.S.D., Corpus Christi I.S.D. and the Texas Driving School. He was an avid Longhorn, Spurs and Cowboy fan but valued most his church, St. Luke’s United Methodist and his family. Survivors include a sister, Mary Morgan, brother, Morris Hartgraves, three daughters, Carol (Jesse) Adams, Anita Hartgraves and Beverli Hartgraves, four grandchildren, Natalie (Jeff) Thomas, Alexis (Steven) Ogden, Ryan Hartgraves and Eric (Chantel) Cantu and five great grandchildren, Caroline and London Thomas, Matilda Ogden and Maleaha and Eric Cantu. Visitation will be from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Cage-Mills Funeral Directors.
