

Allen Croft Womer, 83, formally of Coshocton, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2012 at Worthington Christian Village in Worthington, Ohio. He was born in Coshocton on May 13, 1929, the son of the late Russell John and Irene Victoria (Croft) Womer. Allen worked at the Coshocton County JVS as Maintenance Supervisor, from which he retired after many years of service. He was a member of the Canal Lewisville United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge #96, Coshocton Council #110, Samaritan Chapter #50, Coshocton Commandery #63, Scottish Rite Valley of Cambridge 32 degree, Order of White Shrine of Jerusalem #34, and the Order of Eastern Stars #157. On November 24, 1948 Allen married Anna Jean (McCabe) Womer, who survives. In addition to his wife, Allen is survived by his three children, Michael Allen (Cassandra Sue Clancy) Womer, Steven John (Dianna L.) Womer, and Sue Ellen (Ronald D.) VanWinkle; four grandchildren, Melissa (Daniel) Schuster, Jennifer Womer, Kimberly VanWinkle, and Dr. Michael (Dr. Jenelle Fleagle) VanWinkle; two great grandchildren, Catherine and Jeffrey VanWinkle; and two siblings, John (Barbara) Womer, and Lois (Joseph) McCoy. In addition to his parents, Allen is preceded in death by two siblings, James Womer, and Virginia Ames. Visitation will be held at Given-Dawson Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 from 5-7pm with a Masonic service starting at 6:45pm. A memorial service will begin just after the visitation at 7pm on Tuesday in the Chapel of Given-Dawson Funeral Home.
