Brian was a very outdoorsy individual who loved fishing, hunting, and his dogs. He was also an enjoyer of football, especially the Dallas Cowboys, and NASCAR. Most importantly, he adored the time spent with his sons, playing board games, telling “dad jokes,” and watching wrestling while eating corn on the cob. He was truly a wonderful father, and a joy to be around. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Megan Stubbs of Coshocton; his sons, David Tackett, Carter Tackett, and Brian Tackett II; and his siblings, Kay (Charles) Davis, Barry Bettis, both of Coshocton, and Linda Cope of Lakeland, Florida. Brian is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Chris Wilson, Summer Davis, Angie Davis, Ryan Davis, and Kaysland Barber; his aunt, Stacey Stubbs; and his special friends, Tasha and Kevin Shyrock; alongside a host of other family, friends, and loved ones.
Brian is preceded in death by his parents, Cliff Melching and Mary Tackett; his stepfather, Roy Tackett; and his brother, Harold Bettis.
Per Brian’s wishes, a cremation will take place. Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home is serving the family.
