
David Allen Reichert, 75, of Dennison, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at the Oak Pointe Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center under Hospice Care. He was born in Washington, Pennsylvania on November 28, 1942 to the late Harold Thomas and Helen Elizabeth (Vass) Reichert. He served in the United States Army and worked as a sales and marketing executive that allowed him to travel the world. On June 16, 1984, he married Debra (Gatchell) Reichert. He was a Christian man and had a strong faith in the Lord. He and his wife, Debra attended the Grace United Methodist Church of Uhrichsville. He and Debra loved touring the US on their Goldwing motorcycle. Debra will always remember his wonderful sense of humor.
Along with his wife, he is survived by his two children, Joshua Reichert of Columbus and Jonathan (Tammy) Reichert of Columbus; three grandchildren, Jordan, Alyssa and Caleb Reichert; sister, Adrienne Gawlak of Canton; two, sisters-in-law, Polly Beckley of Dennison, Deana (Mark) Kress of Gnadenhutten and Mother-in-law, Betty Gatchell Shaw of Gnadenhutten.
David is preceded in death by his son, Jacob Reichert, brother-in-law, Ike Beckley and father-in-law, Dean Gatchell.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Community Hospice of New Philadelphia or Community Hospice of Coshocton.
Per David’s wishes a cremation will take place with the Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home assisting the family.
