

Grace was born on October 29, 1917 in Lancaster, Ohio to the late Herbert and Carrie Motsch. She married William R. “Bill” Foley on January 22, 1936 and moved to Columbus, Ohio. During World War II, Grace attended banking school and worked at Ohio National Bank. She and her husband adopted two children, William and Patricia. Grace served as a stay-at-home mom with her children while her husband won accolades for his work as a photographer at the Columbus Dispatch, most notably covering Jack Nicklaus and Woody Hayes. After her husband’s death in 1976, Grace went to work at the State Office Tower, until she retired in 1982. Grace enjoyed reading, sewing, and traveling to Rome and the Holy Land.
Grace is survived by her daughter, Patricia (David) Wiley of Coshocton; six grandchildren: Joshua (Marsha), Daniel (Bethany), Andrew, (Bethel), Samuel (Kathryn), Anna (Douglas), and Rebecca; eleven great-grandchildren: Caleb, Ambrose, Titus, Nathan, Ethan, Sonja, Ingrid, Zoey, Simon, Malcolm, and Lauren; and Bill Stoutenger, who was like a son to her.
Along with her husband and parents, Grace is preceded in death by her son, William, and her two brothers, and one sister.
A funeral mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Monday, December 28, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. officiated by Father Victor. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Columbus, Ohio at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. The family will greet friends from 8:45 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Monday at Given-Dawson Funeral Home.
