Marjorie E Wood

Marjorie Elizabeth Wood, age 91, of Coshocton, Ohio, passed away at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital on Thursday, August 25, 2011. She was born in Coshocton, Ohio on August 17, 1920, the daughter of the late Elisha and Catherine (Goss) Wells. Marjorie graduated from Coshocton High School in 1938. On November 11, 1939 she married Lewis G. Wood her preceded her in death on November 25, 1993. Marjorie was a member of the Church of Christ and the Coshocton Moose Lodge #935. She is survived by two sons, Dennis (Sis) Wood of Coshocton, and Michael (Marsha) Wood of Abingdon, VA; four daughters, Melody (Thomas) Walters of Coshocton, Linda (Dave) Wright of Warsaw, Ohio, Darlene Riggle of Coshocton, and Dottie (Pat) Dorsey of Coshocton; 21 grandchildren, Dennis (Marsha) Wood Jr., Roy K. (April) Wood, Brian S. (Janet) Wood, Cissy (Aaron) Moore, Heather (Jon) Gray, Laura (Steve) Guenther, Jason (Stephanie) Wood, Christopher J. Wood, Christopher D. (Carrie) Wood, Tracey Haines, Tommy (Lynn) Walters, Beth (Jason) Williamson, Krystal (Arthur) Ford, Jeremy Wright, Ashley (DJ) Wright, DeAnna (Andy) Lighthizer, Courtney (Jon) Hill, Tiffany (Josh) Samson, Rob (Michelle) Dorsey, Nena (Ryan) Boatman, and Dustin Tidwell; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Diane Wilson; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Marjorie is preceded in death by her son James O. Wood, and brother Clyde Wells. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at 11:00AM at the Given-Dawson Funeral Home with Lloyd Tenney officiating. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery in Coshocton, Ohio. Visitation will be held Monday, August 29, 2011 from 5-7:00PM at the Given-Dawson Funeral Home in Coshocton. There will also be an hour of visitation just prior to the time of service on Tuesday.
