Mary Elizabeth Zink

Coshocton: Mary “Becky” Zink, 89, died on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital . Becky was born April 17, 1922, in Coshocton, Ohio, the daughter of Mary and Russell Milligan.

She graduated from Coshocton High School in 1940 and attended Ohio Wesleyan University, Class of 1944. After returning to Coshocton she was active in the community serving as YWCA Youth Director for 5 years. She was a member of Junior Woman’s Club, was involved in the Humerich House Museum and was a lifetime member of Trinity Episcopal Church.

For 68 years Becky was the loving wife of Harry Zink who died in 2010. She had one sister, Jean Jefferis, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who preceded her in death. She had two children, Mary Zink Milligan of Columbus, Ohio, and Harry Zink III of Wooster, Ohio. She had five grandchildren, Drew and Luke Milligan and Jeff, Andy, and Christy Zink. She also had six great grandchildren whom she adored: Finn, Oliver, Lia, Mira, Lily and Nora.

She was a dynamic and loving woman throughout her life and leaves an empty space in the hearts of her family and friends. A memorial service will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church, Coshocton, Ohio on June 19th at 2pm.
