Nancy Jean Murray, age 76, of West Lafayette, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, February 3, 2023. She was born in Coshocton, on August 20, 1946 to the late Raymond and Norma Jean (Thomas) Riley.
She graduated from Ohio University in 1982 with a Nursing Degree and was a Nurse for 30 years at Coshocton Hospital before retiring. On October 1, 1994, she married Robert “Jerry” Murray who survives.
Nancy and Jerry ran squad throughout the county in the 1970’s and 1980’s. They enjoyed traveling on bus trips and riding motorcycles. Nancy also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and knitting and her three special dogs, Princess, Monkey and Snoopy. She will be deeply missed by her loving family.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Jerry Murray; her children, Bob (Carmen) Stokes of Coshocton, Kim (Shannon) Roof of Fresno, Jodi (Todd) Maziar of Pataskala, Michael Stokes of West Lafayette and John (Donna) Murray of South Carolina; eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and her sister, Karen Shample of Coshocton.
Per Nancy’s wishes, a cremation will take place. Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home is serving the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Nancy’s name to Community Hospice, or to the donor’s choice.
