Nancy Fern White

Nancy Fern White, age 107, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2013. Fern was born in Adams Township on September 25, 1906, to the late Jacob and Margaret (Hawk) Norris. She graduated from West Lafayette High School, as well as Muskingum College. After college, Fern spent 12 years teaching. On September 23, 1933, she married Boyd White, who precedes her in death. Fern was a member of the Coshocton Presbyterian Church, the church’s bible study group, and the Coshocton Women’s Club. She had many friends and a great love for her many flower gardens. Fern is survived by her niece, Gladys Norris; nephew, David Rose; and several great nephews and nieces. In addition to her husband and parents, Fern is preceded in death by her brother, Ralph Norris; and nephew, Lyle Norris. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, December 27, 2013, in the Chapel of Given-Dawson Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Millspaugh, and Rev. Jonathan Carlisle officiating. Burial will follow at Canal Lewisville Cemetery. No calling hours will be held.
