

Patricia Ann Tucker, age 69, passed away at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital on Saturday, April 14, 2012. She was born January 7, 1943 in Sugarcreek, Ohio. Pat moved to Coshocton, Ohio where she graduated high school in 1961. She was a graduate from Ashland College in 1965 with a Bachelor’s in Education, and taught elementary school in Dover for 8 years at Park School. Pat received her Master’s degree in Education from Akron University in 1974. She taught Special Education in the River View school district, at Union School and Warsaw School, until her retirement in 1995. She has had lifelong interests, often following her parents’ influence, amateur radio operator, enjoying books, carousels and carousel music, circuses, animals –especially dogs, doing crosswords, and crocheting. Pat had an obsession for pansies over the last few years. The theme of her last school party stuck – “Retirement is not for pansies” – and she made pansies her theme in retirement. She is survived by her sister, Nora (Richard), Fennessy and many cousins and dear friends. Pat is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Margaret (Domer) Tucker. Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Given-Dawson Funeral Home on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at 1:00PM. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery.
