

Phyllis Joan Heller Robinson (Jodie) of Friendship Village, Dublin, Ohio, died April 4, 2022. Born July 7, 1926 to the late Lloyd T. Heller and Edith (Glendening) Heller, she was an Indiana native. A graduate of Indiana University, she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. It was at Indiana University that she met her husband of ¬¬69 years, Robert B. Robinson (Robby) who she married in 1948 and who died in 2017.
Formerly a resident of Coshocton, Ohio, she and her husband were active in community, church and school organizations. She served Hospice as a board member and was a charter member of the Coshocton City Schools foundation. One of the original Roscoe Village (restored canal village) hostesses, she chaired the committee to establish Roscoe Village volunteers. She was a member of Linworth United Methodist Church and the P.E.O. International sisterhood as well as The Association of Junior Leagues International and the American Association of University Women. Jodie established a reputation as an interior designer who creatively and skillfully paired her client's vision and proposed budget to achieve the desired effects.
Jodie and Robby moved several times, living in Evansville, IN, Coshocton, OH, Peoria, IL and Coshocton again before retiring to Friendship Village in Dublin. They established firm and lasting friendships at every post. As the family grew, Jodie joined Robby on business travels from South America to Australia and New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia and various locations in Europe, helping him form firm and long-standing partnerships and friendships. The consummate entertainer, Jodie relished occasions where she could welcome visitors and guests into their home.
Among the many blessings of her life, family was preeminent. She is survived by three daughters and six grand-children: Sarah Elizabeth Coffin (Rick) of Hilton Head Island, SC, Jonathan Coffin and Sean Harrington (Indianapolis, IN) and Matthew and Caroline James Coffin (Charlotte, NC); Ann Marie Fortney (Rick) of McAlpin, FL, Angel and Rob Sullivan (Odessa, FL), children Ashlynn and Alex, and Chad and Jillian Fortney (Pinellas Park, FL), daughter Katielyn; and Mary Claire Ackerman (Chuck) of Perrysburg, OH, daughter Carmen Alkire (New York City, NY); as well as daughter-in-law Karen Robinson (Jeff) of Canton, OH, Katie Musser and Mikel Myers, children Kameron and Skylar. A brother, David Heller (Shirley) of Greenfield, IN, as well several nieces and nephews also survive Jodie. A son, Jeffrey Alan, brother Philip Roderic Heller, and grandson Charles Edward Coffin pre-deceased her.
A memorial service is scheduled for 11: 00 am, Friday April 8, 2022 at Friendship Village, 6000 Riverside Dr., Dublin, OH with a private interment later in Roscoe Cemetery, Coshocton, OH. Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home is serving the family.
