Twyla Thomas

Twyla Marie Troendly Thomas, 85, of West Lafayette, Ohio, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2013, at Coshocton Hospital. She was born in West Lafayette, Ohio, on February 21, 1928, the daughter of the late Clyde and Virginia (Dunlap) Schumaker. Twyla graduated from West Lafayette High School and was a farmwife, and homemaker throughout her life. She was a life member of West Lafayette United Methodist Church, was a wonderful cook, enjoyed flowers and antiques, and especially loved being with her family. Twyla was married to Joseph Elmer Troendly, and later to Clayton Thomas, both of whom preceded her in death. She is survived by her four sons: David (Deborah) Troendly of West Lafayette, Stephen (Julie) Troendly of Fresno, Ohio, Daniel (Diane) Troendly of New Concord, Ohio, Marvin (Anne) Troendly of Otsego, Ohio, her grandchildren: Jonathan (Tasha) Troendly, Justin (Tara) Troendly, Danelle (Jonathan) Gibson, Ben Troendly, Sarah (Chris) Armintrout, Aaron Troendly, Amy (Andrew) Buck, Jennifer Troendly (Mike Stone), Joseph Troendly, Jacob Troendly, her six great grandchildren, her sister: Patricia (Don) Zwilling of Upper Arlington, Ohio, her brother-in-law: James Schlarb of West Lafayette, Ohio, and her nephew: Tracy Schlarb of West Lafayette, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her sister: Marthajean Schlarb. A funeral service will be held in the Sanctuary of West Lafayette United Methodist Church on Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at 11:00am with Pastor Sue Chidley officiating. Burial will follow in Fairfield Cemetery in West Lafayette, Ohio. The family will greet friends and neighbors on Monday, July 15, 2013, at Given-Dawson Funeral Home in Coshocton, from 5-7pm, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
