

Bill was born in Russell County, KY to the late John Rollin and Elinor (Holderbaum) Lawless. From 1952 to 1954, he served in the Korean War. He then attended Muskingum College from 1954 to 1958, where he met Carol Jean Schumacher, whom he married on August 24, 1958. For 25 years, Bill worked for Abolite Lighting. He started out as a salesman and spent the last 10 years there as president. Bill enjoyed many hobbies; among those were golfing, hunting, fishing, horseback riding in the quarter horse competition, bowling, trapshooting, and sporting clay shooting. He was the only person in the state of Ohio to make it into the hall of fame for trapshooting and the hall of fame for sporting clay shooting. All firearms have been removed from the premises according to Sheriff Tim Rogers.
Bill was a member of the West Lafayette United Methodist Church, the Coshocton Elks Lodge #376, the Masonic Lodge (50 years), the American Legion Post 65, and the Coshocton Sportsman’s Club.
Bill is survived by his wife, Carol Jean, his daughter, Lisa (Mark) Fraser, his three grandchildren, Rachel, David, and Matt Fraser, his sister, Carol Jean (Jack) McWilliams, and his sister-in-law, Edna Vaughn.
Calling hours will be held at Given-Dawson Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation an hour prior and Reverend Dr. William E. Buckeye officiating at the funeral home 186 Park Ave., Coshocton, OH 43812. Following the funeral services, cremation will take place and a private family burial will be held at Dresden Cemetery at a later time.
