

Chambers attended Quitman County High School where he graduated in 1969. After graduating he relocated to California that same year.
For 18 years Chambers worked in Housing Construction. He later switched careers where he worked for the Orange County Transportation Authority for 7 years. Later transferring to the Norwalk Transit System where he spent 17 years until his death.
Chambers worshipped at New Spirit Baptist Church since relocating to CA. He was united in Holy Matrimony to Glory Joy Kendrick of Morgan, GA on September 14, 1974. This union lasted for 46 years until Chambers passing.
Chambers was preceded in death by his beloved parents Chambers Smith, Sr and Mattie Smith of Marks, Mississippi. As well as his four brothers James Woodrow Smith, Belmon Shedrick Smith, Charlie Mack Smith and Richard Smith. His two sisters Doris May Smith Woodard and Ruth Jean Smith Griffin also preceded him in death.
Chambers leaves behind his sister Annie Lee Smith Lewis and his brothers Willie Dean Smith, Thomas Edward Smith and Rodney Smith to mourn his passing. As well as a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and friends who will grieve this lost.
