Born in Anaheim, Ca. Jim passed away on Christmas Day at home surrounded by his family. Jim is survived by daughter, Michael Ann Powers, son Patrick White, grandchildren Megan Macias, Kathryn Powers, Aaron White, Joanna White, Kimberly White, Richard White, great-grandchildren Emily, Jack, Sam Macias, and Diego Donnelly. Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia White and sons James and Timothy White and his brothers Bob and Bill White.

Jim grew up in Manhattan Beach, Ca. Boating and being on or near the water was a life-long joy he shared with his two beloved brothers and a pleasure he passed on to his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jim graduated from Loyola High School and remained a supporter of the school throughout his adult life. Jim retired from Cal Compack Foods in 1987 after a 35 yr. career in the spice industry. As a resident of Costa Mesa, CA. for 64 years, Jim was active in many community associations including St. Joachim Parish, Boy Scouts of America, AYSO, Mater Dei Booster Clubs, The American Legion, Newport Harbor Nautical Museum and Costa Mesa Senior Center. Jim was a founding member and Senior Staff Commodore of South Shore Yacht Club.

Funeral Services will be held at St. Joachim Catholic Church 1964 Orange Ave, Costa Mesa, CA. Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers please donate to St. Joachim School Scholarship Fund.
