AVIS DE DÉCÈS

Peggy Rae Bunnell

13 mars 1940 – 18 janvier 2026
Avis de décès de Peggy Rae Bunnell
AUX SOINS DE

Harbor Lawn-Mt. Olive Memorial Park & Mortuary

Peggy was born in 1940 in Moscow, Idaho. Moscow is a wheat farm and college town on the west side of the Rocky Mountains. Peggy graduated with honors from University of Idaho before moving to Los Angeles and going to work at Southern California Edison. Peggy and her husband Ray welcomed their daughter Kelli in 1964 but they divorced and Peggy met and married John, also at Edison. Peggy climbed the corporate ladder and was the first woman to hold several management jobs at Edison. She enjoyed her work but took an early retirement package at age 56 and was ready to devote herself to two of her favorite passions: spoiling her grandchildren and swing dancing. Kelli’s family was in Oklahoma and John’s four grandchildren in three other states so they spent many years flying for visits or flying grandkids to LA for the beaches and Disneyland. This gave them time to dance - from the west coast to the east coast and places in between. The went to music festivals and night spots throughout the country. They made many friends among music lovers and musicians alike. They danced with WWII veterans [to big bands], the swing kids of the 1990 swing revival, and the rockabillies to the 50s music Peggy grew up with. Peggy enjoyed recognition from professional dancers in the entertainment industry as the last original swing dancer dancing in LA clubs. Peggy is survived by her daughter Kelli, son in law Todd, two grandsons [Ryan & Tyler]. Also her husband John, two step children [Jason & Mel] and 4 step grandchildren [Jordan, Ashlyn, Jay & Amelia].
