

Born on January 29, 1951, in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, Richard’s love for music shaped his life from an early age. He studied at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and went on to build a career as a musician and arranger. He toured with the legendary Glenn Miller and Stan Kenton Orchestras, sharing his passion for jazz and big band music with audiences around the world. As the leader and arranger of the New Flamingo Swing Orchestra, he poured his heart into his work, creating music that moved and inspired.
Beyond his talent, Richard was known for his intelligence, quick wit, and creativity. He had a way of leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met.
He is deeply missed by his children, Brendan and Caitlin Fenno, and his two cherished grandchildren. His sister Noreen shared a special bond with him and offered constant love and support. He is also survived by his beloved siblings Jimmy, Marcia, and Cindy.
Richard’s music and the love he shared will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May his memory bring comfort and inspiration to all who mourn his passing.
