Shari Dee Nemirow

Born on January 22, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois, she grew up on the South Side before moving to Buffalo Grove, IL, moving to Dayton, Ohio for a short period and then making her home in Seal Beach, California. A dedicated professional, she worked as a Certified Public Accountant for more than 30 years, earning the trust and admiration of colleagues and clients alike. Prior to her becoming a CPA, Shari was an elementary school teacher.For 42 years, she was married to the love of her life, Lawrence, together building and blending a family and a life full of love and purpose.

Her greatest legacy was her tireless service to the community.

In her earlier years, Shari contributed her time and talents as President of the Seal Beach Chamber of Commerce and as a member of the Los Alamitos Unified School District Board of Education. Deeply rooted in her Jewish faith and tradition, she was a pillar of the Jewish community in the greater Long Beach area. She held numerous leadership roles over the years, including serving as President of the Jewish Federation. She was deeply involved in the arts as well, serving for many years on the board of Musical Theatre West. In addition, she dedicated her energy to Steel Magnolias, a volunteer organization that raises funds to support children with developmental challenges.

Beyond her professional and community commitments, she loved to travel and explore the world. Above all, she cherished her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and her grandchildren brought her endless pride and joy.

She will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, leadership, and unwavering dedication to her family, faith, and community.

She is survived by her husband, Lawrence, her children Jaime, (Brent of blessed memory), Aaron (Jen), and Jennifer (Todd); and her four grandchildren Paige, Hannah, Hailey, Hudson.
