

Alma was born in Timmins, Ontario on September 10 1934. She and her sister Lola attended school with Tim Horton. She lived in Cochrane, Ontario, Campbell River, BC. Port Alberni, BC and Courtenay, BC. She worked at the Bank of Montreal in Courtenay, The Casual Shop on 5th St, Goddard’s Clothing Store in the Driftwood mall and later started Memory Lane Antiques in Royston with her husband Gordon, until fully retiring and moving back to Courtenay, living on Willemar Avenue for many years. Alma moved into Providence Living at the Views in October of 2024 until her passing.
Alma was a long time member and past president of the Kiwanis Club. She was known to make the best deviled eggs and turkey stuffing. She lived for her kids and grandkids. She loved having large family dinners and cooking for everyone. She was a very loving and caring soul.
Alma will be lovingly remembered by daughters Juanita Williams and Dawn (Bill) Borland, grandchildren Shane (Danielle) Williams, Greg Williams, Nichole Williams, Noel (Jody) Williams, Scott (Sheryl) Williams, Megan Borland, Kayley Borland plus great grandchildren.
Alma is predeceased by parents Harold and Gladys MacPherson, husband Gordon B Williams, sister Jean (MacPherson) Stier, brothers Robert MacPherson, Gordon MacPherson, Step sons Reginald Currie Williams and Grant Pierre Williams.
A celebration of Life will be held at Piercy’s Funeral Home in Courtenay on January 24, 2026 between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm, drop in.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Providence Living at the Views in Comox for their exceptional love and care for Alma. She was well loved.
