Betty peacefully passed away in Courtenay, BC. She became an R.N. in 1948 at St. Paul’s Hospital and nursed at Powell River, St. Paul’s, Shaunessey, and St. Vincent’s Hospitals. She is survived by Ed, husband of nearly 58 years; daughters, Diane, Lorraine (Malcolm) and Sue (Marv), 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.
Betty was cheerful, loved life and always there to help and support family and friends at a moments notice. She loved animals, swimming in the ocean, gardening, picnics, family gatherings and was a welcoming hostess to all.
A Celebration of Betty’s Life will be held on Saturday August 21, 2010 at 1 pm. at Comox United Church, 250 Beach Ave., Comox, B.C.
