Gen passed away suddenly in the early hours of April 30, 2011 with Norm by her side.
She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Florence Shewfelt, by her sister, Ellen Sowers and by her brother-in-law, Charles Sowers
Gen will be forever loved and remembered by her husband, Norman, daughter Violet (Steve) and son Douglas, her brother-in-law George (Carol), nephew Kevin, other family and countless friends.
She was a long time member of the Daughters of the Nile, and a past matron of the Eastern Star.
Gen was tireless in her efforts to help others and was never without multiple projects underway, knitting, sewing, and fundraising or whatever was needed. Gen had a quick wit and a generous spirit; she will be missed by many
A celebration of life will be held at the Union Bay Community Hall at 2Pm on Friday, May 13, 2011.
Gen asked that in Lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Heart and Stroke foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society
