James "Jim" Manfred Millet passed away on August 17, 2019 at Courtenay, BC. Born in Fulham, London, United Kingdom April 21, 1928.
Born to Annie and Jacob Mayer Millet, Jim joined the RAF at the end of WWII and served in North Africa and the Territorial Army, and in 1956 was awarded The Queens Commendation
for Brave Conduct. Jim worked as an advertising executive in England and Canada, and
as a Personnel Officer with the Public Service Commission of Canada. As a proud member
of the Cdn Armed Forces he served with the Queen's Own Rifles and retired at the rank of Major as a Personnel Selection Officer. Jim was married for 58 years to the love of his life, Jean.
Predeceased by Nancy "Bunny" Brennan, sister. Survived by wife Bertha Jean Millet (nee Malcolm), daughter Mary Michele Claveau (Mitch), son James Malcolm Millet, grandson James David Millet and grand-daughter Madison Michele Millet.
