Sandra McVeigh

passed away peacefully with family by her side on Saturday the 19th of May 2012 at St Joseph’s Hospital in Comox B.C.

Sandra was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on August 12, 1939 and now joins her father, Charles Henry Lowing and mother, Sara Agnes Knox, her brother, Eddie and her beloved friend Jack Hastie. She will be sadly missed by her surviving two sons, their families, her brother and sister and much loved extended family.

“We are thankful for the past years we shared together. The many precious memories we hold are a comfort when we remember you. Forever in our hearts we love you Mom.”

The family would like to express their gratitude for the exceptional care Sandra received from Dr. Johnson, her colleagues and staff at Highland Medical Clinic. Also to the staff of the Zellers Pharmacy, Sandra loved you all as family. Thank you.

A Memorial Service in honour of Sandra will be held at Piercy’s Mt Washington Funeral Home in Courtenay on Saturday May 26, 2012 at 11am. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Holiday Inn Express in Courtenay from 1pm to 5pm for family and friends to drop in and share their favorite stories and memories.

Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Canadian Lung Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation or the local SPCA.
